Worship Team Training
Branon Dempsey & Derek Williams
Worship Team Training serves church worship ministries by providing live workshops and online resources to help inspire, create and transform the leading of worship since 2002. Branon Dempsey responded to God's call to ministry in 1993 to help connect people to Christ through worship ministry. In the same way, God has called you - to reach people for His purposes. The Lord desires for His people to respond to Him in worship as a life - not as a style. The question is, how are you being equipped to reach people through your gifts and skills that is focused in a way that rightly honors the Lord while edifying His Church? |

QUESTION: Who may play in the band? I've seen your essay on "Who is a Worship Leader?" I would be interested to know your thoughts on a related question of "Who may play in the band?" In other words, do you think it is important that each musician have certain spiritual qualifications in order to participate, or can the opportunity to perform music (and the attendant involvement with worship) be an avenue of ministry to the "unsaved" or to the "weaker brother?"

QUESTION: Transition Pace? I have very recently been involved in the transition of a very traditional church from traditional hymns or blended service to a more contemporary service. To be honest I thought we were moving slowly enough to suit everyone, but it turns out we have attempted to move a little too quickly for our older folks. The time period involved has been about seven months. We have started a new Sunday evening service geared primarily to seekers with very contemporary music, but we are having to back off on Sunday mornings. Can you give us a good clear time frame for transition from traditional to contemporary? I know I am not the only one with this question/problem.
