Big Idea Entertainment To Release Its First Ever Multi-Superhero Themed DVD Title The League of Incredible Vegetables features a lesson in handling fear and trusting God with original theme song and music video performed by the Newsboys
Big Idea Entertainment, a leading studio and producer of children’s and family programming, characters and brands, announced today they will release their first-ever superhero themed DVD title, VeggieTales®: The League of Incredible Vegetables, on October 13 and October 16, 2012 in Christian and general market stores respectively. Based on Psalm 56:3 (ESV) which says, “When I am afraid, I will put my trust in You,” the title helps teach a lifelong lesson in handling fear, one of the most requested subject topics by VeggieTales fans and families.
The League of Incredible Vegetables is the fourth title in a series of DVD releases that stars the popular “LarryBoy” character. The DVD also introduces four new superheroes played by beloved VeggieTales characters Bob the Tomato, Petunia Rhubarb, Junior Asparagus and Mr. Lunt, all with hilarious superhero abilities. In addition to engaging bonus features, the DVD contains fun music fit for families, and the all-new Silly Song, “Supper Hero.” To top it all off, the new Veggie Tales story includes a brand-new "League" theme song and music video by Grammy-nominated and Dove Award-winning group, Newsboys.
“The superhero genre continues to amaze and captivate new generations of fans with new franchises debuting every year,” said Greg Fritz, SVP Sales & Marketing of Big Idea Entertainment.
“Our VeggieTales heroes are unique in that they turn to God for guidance and assistance even though they possess some extraordinary abilities. We are thrilled to offer this action-packed new title that will have mass appeal based on the genre and also remind kids where their ultimate help comes from.
